Areas we will explore: • the philosophy of post structuralism • the basic “maps” that can guide Narrative conversations • the theory and practice of “externalising” (i.e.: separating people from problems) • the theory and practice of “outsider witnessing” (i.e.: inviting someone to witness a client’s story and then reflecting on what they have heard) • Narrative documentation (i.e.: therapeutic letters, community documents & poetics)The workshop will have a theoretical component but the main focus will be on putting the ideas into practice. You will be invited to share in conversations with Felicity throughout the day, as well as being given the opportunity to practice the ideas for yourself. “ENT: Part 2” is an intermediate workshop for those who have already attended “ENT: Part 1”. Counsellors who have a basic working knowledge of Narrative Therapy are also welcome to attend.
